Provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers

Wash, clean and stock operating equipment and kitchen utensils
Basic knowledge of Kitchen Hygiene
1-2 years work experience as Steward in a hotel or restaurant with good standards desirable
Dishwashing and Cleaning
Wash Dishes and Utensils: Stewards are responsible for washing all dishes, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen utensils using either industrial dishwashers or manual cleaning methods.
Clean Kitchen Equipment: Clean cooking equipment such as pots, pans, ovens, and utensils to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
Maintain Cleanliness in Food Preparation Areas: Stewards are tasked with keeping food preparation areas, countertops, and cooking stations clean, sanitized, and organized.
Clean Floors and Surfaces: Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe down all surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation.
Dispose of Waste: Properly dispose of food waste and trash in designated areas to maintain cleanliness and reduce the risk of contamination.
Assisting with Food Preparation and Service
Assist Kitchen Staff: Stewards may help with basic food prep tasks such as peeling vegetables, chopping ingredients, or assisting chefs with meal preparations.
Set Up Dining Areas: In some settings, stewards may help with setting up tables in the dining area, arranging tableware, napkins, and glasses, and ensuring that everything is in place for service.
Assist in Stocking Supplies: Ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are stocked with necessary supplies like plates, cups, utensils, and condiments.
Provide Support During Service: During peak times, stewards may be asked to assist with clearing plates, refilling water glasses, or helping to serve food to customers in the dining room.
