Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer Golang (Tech Foundation) (all genders) to join the Developer Platform on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
Short description of the team & position:
You will be part of a team responsible for providing a robust CI/CD solution to support over 3000 engineers at Delivery Hero. Our mission is to create maintainable and scalable solutions focusing on system reliability improvements and custom tooling using Go to avoid fragmentation. This position offers the exciting opportunity to solve diverse problems and propose innovative solutions that are integral to the companys success. Your expertise will support internal departments and external partners ensuring operational excellence. We prioritize quality by thoroughly implementing documenting and programmatically testing our work to meet the highest standards.
Detail some of the key roles and responsibilities of the position
Designing and implementing robust scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery process ensuring highquality releases with minimal manual intervention.
Contributing to designing and evolving the system architecture to meet current needs and support future growth and technologies.
Enforcing coding standards and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain highquality codebase. Implement automated testing frameworks to catch bugs early and ensure software reliability.
Mentoring junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices leading by example in both technical and soft skills to enhance the teams overall capabilities.
Identifying and resolving complex technical issues in software and infrastructure continuously optimizing for performance and scalability.
Collaborating with product managers designers and engineering teams to align on project goals timelines and implementation strategies.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
Proven experience in building complex distributed largescale backend systems including microservices eventdriven architectures and cloud computing.
Proficiency in Golang is a must with a demonstrated ability to write clean efficient and maintainable code.
Handson experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP) with a strong understanding of leveraging them for scalable and resilient solutions.
Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies for efficient deployment and management of applications.
Understanding of microservices architecture and patterns which is beneficial for designing scalable and maintainable systems would be a plus.
Experience in designing and implementing scalable end to end CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana) to proactively identify and resolve issues ensuring high availability and reliability.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders across various disciplines.
Participation in an oncall rotation and the ability to respond to critical issues outside of regular working hours is a significant advantage with additional compensation provided for oncall duties.
