Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team focusing on softwaredefined industrial automation. This includes the transformation from hardwarebased to softwaredefined functionality such as virtualized Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects that enhance the efficiency and flexibility of industrial automation systems.
- During your internship you will collaborate with experienced engineers and gain handson experience developing key software solutions that will drive the nextgen industrial automation.
- You will work in a crossfunctional team to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- In addition you will be involved in research activities to explore new technologies and methodologies in softwaredefined industrial control and virtualization.
- Furthermore you will design and implement software functionality for virtualized PLC applications working alongside senior engineers.
- Last but not least you will regularly prepare present and discuss key results with the team and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science Electrical Engineering Automation Engineering or comparable
- Experience and Knowledge: strong programming skills in languages such as C Go and/or Python; familiarity with Linux system internals (including realtime scheduling kernel subsystems networking); understanding of industrial automation concepts including PLCs is a plus
- Personality and Working Practice: you are able to analyze complex problems quickly and prioritize tasks effectively
- Enthusiasm: a passion for technology and innovation
- Languages: fluent in English German is a plus

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
