Universal Production Services seeks an organised selfmotivated individual and team player to join our busy film and television set lighting rental facility Universal Production Services.
The Set Lighting Operations Technician is a fulltime position and an exciting opportunity to join the growing team at our busy warehouse based in Elstree Borehamwood.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform PAT Testing according to IEE guidelines.
- Pulling lighting and rigging orders testing equipment cleaning equipment.
- Store away and accurately manage any discrepancies from goods in & goods out.
- Work with Senior Operations Technicians and Warehouse Supervisor to understand priorities and dispatch deadlines.
- Cleaning and checking lighting equipment as it returns from a production rental.
- Printing equipment job sheets from RTPro software.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition clean and ready to rent.
- Maintain a productive safe environment.
- General housekeeping of the warehouse.
The comprehension and willingness to go the extra mile work to job completion finalise all assets & attributes of each days work is assumed to be understood for this role.
Qualifications :
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of latest inservice inspection & testing guidelines.
- Must be physically fit to carry out manual handling (regularly required to move lights power cables and other objects weighing up to 32kg).
- Must be IT literate comfortable at learning to use our rental software RTPro to process orders and explore stock control.
- Highly motivated strong ability to multitask and the ability to flourish in stressful situations.
- Be willing to assist colleagues when time allows to help fulfil orders.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedure.
- Ability to organise and prioritise the tasks at hand.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency. Able to organise prioritise and execute numerous orders in tandem.
- Must always interact with coworkers and clients professionally.
- Available to work a 40hour weekMonday to Friday. Some additional weekend and overtime work will be required as the business demands.
- Knowledge/interest of film and television lighting and rigging equipment an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to interact and communicate with front line production crew and colleagues.
- Ability to navigate through complex situations and personalities.
- Strong computer skills: ability to understand multiple operating systems.
- Work as part of a team to ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Good communication and problemsolving skills.
- Team player.
