Roles and responsibilities

Provides leave coverage when required.
Reviews and updates planogram with counter supervisor.
Suggesting to the counter in-charge new product or mixes required by the customer.
Responsible for displaying of products according to principal planogram.
Interacting with consumers to survey the quality of the products.
Through positive interaction and responsiveness ensures customer satisfaction.
Analyses stock movement trends to provide reports on non- moving and slow moving stocks.
When required mentors new counter sales.
Uses visual creativity in displays to ensure product off take.
Works towards achieving the counter monthly budget.
Sales and Customer Interaction
Customer Assistance: Greet customers as they approach the counter and assist them in selecting the right products or services based on their needs.
Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information about the products or services, including specifications, benefits, and pricing, to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Upselling and Cross-selling: Actively promote additional products or services related to the customer’s purchase, increasing sales opportunities.
Demonstrations: If applicable, demonstrate product features or explain how to use items, especially for complex or technical products.
Customer Inquiries: Address customer questions and concerns, either in person or over the phone, in a professional and helpful manner.
Order Processing and Transactions
Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate the POS system to process transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and providing receipts.
Order Management: Assist with order processing, including taking customer orders, entering them into the system, and ensuring timely fulfillment of those orders.
Inventory Checks: Verify product availability, check stock levels, and place special orders for customers if the item is out of stock.
Returns and Exchanges: Handle customer returns, exchanges, and warranty claims according to store policies, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining accurate records.

Desired candidate profile

Secondary School Level
Minimum 1 year experience in sales
Articulate
Good communication skills
Valid Qatar Driving license is a plus
Inventory Management
Stock Management: Assist in managing stock levels at the counter, ensuring products are well-organized, available, and easy for customers to find.
Restocking: Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, and take note of low-stock items to request restocking from the back office or warehouse.
Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales, and returns, and communicate inventory discrepancies to the relevant team members.
Customer Service and Relationship Building
Customer Satisfaction: Strive to ensure that customers have a positive experience at the counter, resolving any issues or concerns that may arise during the transaction.
Building Rapport: Build long-term relationships with customers through excellent service, encouraging repeat business and fostering customer loyalty.
Handling Complaints: Address customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner, aiming to resolve issues quickly and ensure customer satisfaction.
Cash Handling and Financial Transactions
Cash Register Operation: Accurately operate cash registers, handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and ensure all financial transactions are processed correctly.
End-of-Day Balancing: At the end of the shift, assist in balancing the cash register, ensuring that sales figures match up with cash on hand and accounting records.
Sales Reporting
Daily Sales Reports: Assist in generating sales reports, tracking daily sales, and communicating sales data to management.
Promotions and Discounts: Apply any promotional pricing, discounts, or loyalty rewards to customer transactions and ensure all discounts are accurate.
