Tasks
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Research Trainee to support our daily laboratory operations with a primary focus on imaging flow cytometry. This role also provides exposure to additional analytical techniques like ICPMS and GCMS. You will contribute to the development of new laboratory methods and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of biological samples using flow cytometry and other techniques.
- Support the optimization and validation of flow cytometry methods.
- Contribute to the development of new laboratory methods and procedures.
- Assist in drafting laboratory reports and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Ensure the laboratory is clean organized and wellmaintained.
- Support validation and verification processes for newly developed methods.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 15189).
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biology Biochemistry Medical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline) or equivalent vocational training.
- Strong interest in laboratory work with a particular focus on imaging flow cytometry.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 15189 and other regulatory standards is an advantage but not required.
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
- Minimum A2 understanding of German.
