Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to work for our Europe based client. For this role we only process candidates that are based in the Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.
About the OTA client
- Personalized pocket coach that provides bitesized sciencedriven tools to boost emotional intelligence. Think of it as a pocket cheerleader towards a better more fulfilling clearerminded way of life.
Your Role
- Build scalable systems: Help us develop and scale our architecture and tech stack to support millions of monthly active users (MAUs).
- Drive product innovation: Collaborate with the product team (content design growth) to define develop and deliver impactful features.
- Contribute across platforms: Support the continued success of our awardwinning mobile app and expand its reach to hundreds of millions of users
- Be a core team member: As the third fulltime engineer on the team youll work alongside a rockstar UI/UX team and worldclass technology advisors to build something extraordinary.
About You
Experienced in backend development:
- 8 years working with TypeScript Node.js Prisma PostgreSQL and NestJS.
- Proficient in building APIs integrating thirdparty libraries and implementing GraphQL (bonus).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Services (GCP) Firebase and CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions.
Bonus Major plus
- Experience with Kotlin or Swift and delivering mobile features like push notifications
- Experience with generative AI integration
- Experience with ML model integration and testing
Consumer product expertise:
- Youve worked on consumerfacing apps ideally with subscriptionbased models.
- You understand the balance between shipping quickly and maintaining highquality engineering standards.
- Experience with Headless CMS localization and subscription platforms (e.g. RevenueCat) is a bonus.
Entrepreneurial mindset:
- Youre excited about being involved in the earlystage building process from understanding customer needs to shaping technical decisions.
- You thrive in crossfunctional environments and arent afraid to express your opinion.
