Job Description
Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Tax Counsel to join our clients team. As a Commercial Tax Counsel you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on all taxrelated matters to our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on tax implications of business transactions and strategies
Conduct legal research and stay updated on tax laws and regulations
Prepare and review taxrelated documents such as contracts agreements and filings
Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
Review and analyze financial statements to identify potential tax issues
Collaborate with other legal and financial professionals to provide comprehensive tax advice to clients
Stay updated on industry trends and developments in tax law to provide proactive advice to clients
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax law preferably in a commercial setting
Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax planning and compliance for businesses
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage a highvolume workload
Detailoriented and able to meet tight deadlines
Proven track record of providing effective and strategic tax advice to clients
