Job Description
Position: Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant General Counsel to join our clients legal team. In this role you will work closely with General Counsel to provide legal support and guidance to the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and be able to handle a wide range of legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Counsel in providing legal advice and support to the company and its clients
Review and draft contracts agreements and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
Advise on compliance with laws and regulations in the areas of employment contracts and data privacy
Manage and oversee litigation matters and work with outside counsel as needed
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure legal compliance and risk management
Stay current on industry trends and changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company
Assist in developing and implementing company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of insert state
Minimum of 35 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
Strong knowledge of corporate law contracts and employment law
Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in litigation and managing outside counsel is a plus
Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations is preferred
