- Proactively identify evaluate and acquire titles across key genres and formats with a primary focus on feature films and documentaries on an All Rights basis.
- Run P&Ls and independently negotiate commercial deal terms.
- Prepare and manage board pack submissions.
- Analyse comparables and data sets to inform decisionmaking.
- Assist with contributing to the teams annual signings target for new acquisitions.
- Adopt a flexible work approach to quickly adjust to new strategies in response to the evolving needs and priorities of the groups annual slate.
- Manage and grow a global network of filmmakers sales agents talent agencies content creators financiers record companies and distributors.
- Attend markets industry events and screenings as appropriate (amount of travel will vary depending on the successful candidate but will be approximately 35 weeks per year).
- Define release strategies for titles and manage their rollout.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders both externally and internally (marketing PR operations content strategy legal finance and production teams) as well as other divisions within NBCU.
- Generate and execute on original content ideas.
- Manage internal workflows and proactively resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in film/television acquisitions and/or sales and/or production finance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to dealmaking combining strong commercial acumen and creative focus.
- Strong creative sensibilities with a passion for discovering innovative and original content.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong enduring relationships across the industry supporting licensor and talent partnerships.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of All Rights distribution.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced and demanding environment.
- Well organised and collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mind set with strong commercial awareness.
- Independent energetic and positive attitude with a talent for fostering team cohesion.
- Competent in MS Office suite.
- Hours of work are determined by project/business needs often working across different timezones. The successful candidate will be required to work in the London office a minimum of 3 days per week.
