Your Role:

As the Maintenance Systems Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the production and processing equipment operates efficiently and reliably while meeting quality standards. You will oversee maintenance resources optimize planned and unplanned maintenance activities and support operational excellence across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Optimization: Ensure production and processing equipment delivers expected operational efficiency and quality.
  • Maintenance Leadership: Supervise budget planning oversee maintenance events and operate a controlled maintenance shop.
  • Planned Maintenance: Execute costeffective maintenance activities in production/processing areas.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations management to maximize maintenance resource application and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Safety Advocacy: Identify and resolve unsafe practices to promote a safe workplace environment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Lead and develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure sustained equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Partner with operations management to resolve chronic production and processing issues including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Documentation: Ensure all maintenance activities are supported and documented through work orders.
  • Resource Management: Handle daytoday relationships with mechanical/electrical resources including work assignments and training.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage repair and maintenance activities within budgetary constraints.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support production system initiatives to enhance safety quality and facility efficiency.

Your Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in maintaining and operating manufacturing equipment with a strong electrical background.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Knowledge of Allen Bradley software (RS Logix 5000 PLC 5 SLC 500 Factory Talk View).
    • Familiarity with Siemens and Sick Safety PLCs instrumentation control devices and related software.
    • Experience with CMMS systems and preventive/predictive maintenance implementation.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage mechanical effectively/electrical resources in a teamoriented culture.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and schedule robust maintenance activities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to empower employees and drive collaboration.
  • Preferred Experience: Working in a union environment and evidence of fostering a teamoriented culture.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Systems Manager will oversee the operation maintenance and reliability of manufacturing and production facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background experience in preventive maintenance and familiarity with various control devices and software.


Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education and Certification:

    • Minimum of a high school diploma; advanced education preferred.
    • Relevant certifications should be detailed in the application.
  2. Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience in maintaining and operating manufacturing and production facility equipment.
    • Proven expertise in implementing preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of the following:
      • Allen Bradley Software
      • RS Logix 5000
      • PLC 5
      • SLC 500 Factory Talk View Software
      • Siemens Safety PLC s
      • Sick Safety PLC s
      • Various instrumentation control devices and software.
    • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  3. Leadership:

    • Leadership experience required; specify the largest team managed.
    • Experience working in a union environment is a plus.
  4. Legal and Relocation:

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
