- Position Title: Juvenile Correctional Specialist (JCS)
- Salary Range: $44100 annually (plus a $6000 SignOn Bonus for eligible hires)

As a Juvenile Correctional Specialist you will provide direct care to residents in a secure correctional environment and be assigned to designated security posts to ensure orderly facility operations and the safety of the youth visitors and staff. The roles and responsibilities will directly impact the residents quality of institutional life and foster rehabilitation.
Your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Ensure the safety and security of juveniles staff and visitors in a 24/7 facility.
- Provide a therapeutic environment by serving as a mentor and role model for residents.
- Implement best practices in supervision security and treatment of juveniles.
- Monitor activities within assigned housing units and maintain control to foster growth and rehabilitation.
- Conduct safety checks intervene during crises and complete incident reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to prepare residents for successful reentry into the community.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately including physical interventions as needed.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution safety protocols and security practices.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with atrisk or adjudicated youth in secure or residential settings.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and adolescent development.

- A valid drivers license is required
