Site: Toronto General Hospital
Department: Facilities Management
Reports to: Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Wage range: $37.33 $38.16
Status: Permanent FullTime
Shift: Days ()

Duties
- Diagnosing problems repairing and doing preventative maintenance on refrigeration/air conditioning equipment/systems and ice machines;
- Contributing to the efficient operation of the department;
- Performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
Qualifications :
- At minimum completion of high school or recognized equivalent;
- Ontario Refrigeration Mechanics License or completion of Ministry approved apprenticeship program required;
- Licensed to handle CFSs;
- 12 years practical and related experience required;
- Ability to read and interpret industry related blueprints;
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (W.H.M.I.S.);
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards;
- Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multitask;
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy;
- Effective organizational interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge of applicable legislative UHN and/or departmental policies;
- Client service oriented with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand;
- Ability to lift 20kg to 40kg;
- May be required to work at multiple areas as well as rotating shifts in emergency situations.
