Job Description

As a Laundry Porter your care and attention to detail in your Laundry operation will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel lines you will take pride in the role you play facilitating a memorable guest stay.
Starting Rate: $18.60 per hour

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Laundry Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
- Pick up soiled linen from the resort
- Deliver JPL linens staff uniforms and town contracts linen at scheduled times
- Assist the Washperson and Laundry Attendants as required
- Assess and communicate the PAR requirements to maintain adequate inventory level
- Provide and deliver other departments with clean linen
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Monitor and complete ticketing requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure the completion of task checklist by the end of each shift.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle fleet ensuring both interior and exterior are regularly cleaned and wellmaintained
- Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department
- Consistently uphold a professional and wellgroomed appearance in accordance with the companys established grooming policy
- Must be flexible in regards to work schedules (weekends and holidays as required)
- Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Valid Alberta drivers license and clean abstract required
- Previous experience driving large trucks required
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Comfortable driving trucks
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
Your team and working environment:
- Walking: 68 hrs/day
- Standing: 68hr/day
- Bending/Reaching: 68 hrs/day
- Pushing/Pulling: 68hrs/day
- Visual: moderate
- Physical Effort: Required to lift up to 5080 lbs
- Environmental Stress: highworks in hot/cold conditions high noise level work with hazardous machinery constantly going in and out of buildings

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
