Laundry - Washperson

As a Washperson your care and attention to detail in your Laundry operation will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel lines you will take pride in the role you play facilitating a memorable guest stay.

Starting Rate: $22.47 per hour

What you will be doing:  

Reporting to the Laundry Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
• Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
• Separate and wash all laundry
• Evaluate business needs and prioritize washing tasks to meet operational demands.
• Efficiently load and unload machines based on volume requirements.
• Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift and at shifts end.
• Ensure the completion of task checklist by the end of each shift.
• Report necessary maintenance items
• Must be flexible in regards to work schedules
• Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department
• Consistently uphold a professional and wellgroomed appearance in accordance with the companys established grooming policy
• Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry asset.
• Knowledge of materials and chemicals an asset
• Valid Alberta drivers license required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times

• Fastpaced upscale luxury hotel
• Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and worldrenowned hiking trails in summer
• Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections
• Walking: 15 hrs/day
• Standing: 48 hr/day
• Bending/Reaching: 68 hrs/day
• Pushing/Pulling: 15 hrs/day
• Physical Effort: Required to lift up to 5080 lbs
• Environmental Stress: highworks in hot/cold conditions high noise level work with hazardous machinery

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
