Working student (m/f/d) to support Fundamental Analysis

for our office in Hamburg ElbSide

Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as a working student to support the Fundamental Analysis team in Business Area Markets.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Being involved in and improve our weekly continental midterm fundamental forecast
• Investigating and updating our powerplant database
• Streamlining our assumptions updating process
• Building out and improving the PowerBI reports of our midterm forecasts

Qualifications :

Your profile

• You are studying mathematics engineering sciences physics economics computer science or a comparable course of studies and are at least in the third semester of your Bachelors degree or in your Masters degree
• You are interested in electricity market fundamentals
• You have experience with Python and analytic libraries (Pandas Numpy). You enjoy programming and are interested in making dashboards in PowerBI
• Fluent in English
• Enthusiastic about working close with other members of the team sharing ideas and developing together
• Ability to work independently and prioritize own work taking initiative to improve processes when required

More Information

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Working time: 20 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week (fulltime) in vacation time
• Minimum duration: 6 months
• Location: Elbside AmerigoVespucciPlatz 2 3 minutes walk from Elbbrcken U&Sbahn station
• Working laptop is provided
• Supervision of final thesis possible by arrangement
