Responsible for controlling that all flights depart on schedule and are staffed as per the GACA regulations. The roles holder is responsible for esnuring crew operations are conducted with the hightest level of customer service.
Ensures that crew resources (both Pilot and Cabin Crew) are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective way, in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements by coordinating all operational crew decisions.
Ensures dispatch of crew resources in conducted in an effective and efficient manner to ensure day to day operations (including emergency) are conducted with the highest level of customer service and at the required level of profitability.
Maintains crew records and operations information along with ensuring that post flight data is recorded and real vs the planned flight schedule is monitored.
Provide guidance and feedback to IOCC Management on all crewing matters.
Ensures cabin crew assigned to a flight is legal and current to fly.
Coordinates crew training with the Head of training.
Keeps abreast of business requirements and changes to be able to address changing business needs.
Resolving roster issues and providing support to flyadeal crew members.
1. Crew Scheduling and Deployment:
Create Crew Rosters: Develop and manage crew schedules (pilots, flight attendants, or maritime crews), ensuring that all shifts are covered in accordance with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Assign Crew to Flights/Trips: Coordinate the assignment of crew members to flights or trips, ensuring that they are appropriately qualified and certified for the specific roles.
Balance Crew Workloads: Ensure that crews have adequate rest periods between shifts in accordance with industry regulations and company policies to prevent fatigue and ensure safety.
Address Crew Availability: Monitor crew availability and handle any unavailability due to sickness, leave, training, or other factors. Make real-time adjustments to the roster as needed.
2. Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to Regulations: Ensure crew schedules comply with aviation or maritime regulations related to working hours, rest periods, and qualifications. This includes adhering to rules set by organizations such as the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) or EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).
Monitor Crew Qualifications: Ensure that all crew members have the required certifications and training for the roles they are scheduled to perform, and keep track of expiry dates for medical certificates, licenses, and other qualifications.
Fatigue Management: Ensure compliance with regulations governing crew rest periods and flight time limitations to manage crew fatigue and safety risks.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, hospitality management or any other relevant field.
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required. Additional Languages will be desirable.
Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation industry with at least 1-year experience in cabin crew.
Communication and Coordination:
Coordinate with Flight Operations: Communicate with flight operations, ground control, and maintenance teams to ensure that crew schedules align with flight operations, aircraft availability, and maintenance schedules.
Act as Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between the crew, management, and operational teams, keeping everyone informed about any changes in schedules, delays, or operational issues.
Address Crew Issues: Handle crew-related concerns, such as absences, sickness, and disputes, and make adjustments to ensure operational continuity.
Handling Disruptions and Emergencies:
Resolve Crew Issues in Real-Time: When crew members are delayed, fall ill, or have issues that prevent them from fulfilling their scheduled duties, the Crew Controller must quickly find replacements or adjust the schedule.
Manage Crew Delays: In cases of delayed or canceled flights, the Crew Controller must manage crew resources effectively to prevent delays or cancellations from affecting the schedule.
Emergency Planning: Be prepared to manage crew scheduling issues that arise unexpectedly (e.g., crew unavailability, weather disruptions) by making quick decisions to minimize the impact on operations.
