Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


The Network Controller is responsible for supervising the IOCC function and ensuring efficient and compliant regulations. Works under the direction of IOCC manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to perform all functions of flyadeal’s Flight Dispatcher.
Supervises daily operations to ensure such are efficient, safe and adhere to GACA and applicable international regulations and standards.
Supervises the accuracy of tracking of crew records to ensure compliance with mandatory crew records as required by regulatory authorities.
Supervises operational management of computerised scheduling system and inputting daily Flight Schedule.
Constantly reviews company operations to propose improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure aircraft bags are regularly checked to ensure documentation is intact.
Responsible for Aircraft Certificate of Airworthiness.
Keeps abreast with trends 1. Network Monitoring and Management:
Traffic Management: Monitor network traffic to ensure optimal performance and avoid congestion or network bottlenecks.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the health of the network, including bandwidth usage, latency, uptime, and response times, to ensure high performance and minimal downtime.
Network Optimization: Use tools to analyze and optimize network resources to ensure that users and systems have access to the necessary bandwidth and low latency.
Alerting and Reporting: Set up network monitoring systems that can send alerts when performance thresholds are breached, and generate reports on network usage and performance for management.
2. Network Configuration and Control:
Device Configuration: Configure and manage networking devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to ensure they operate effectively within the organization’s network infrastructure.
Network Topology Management: Manage the network's topology to ensure that devices are correctly connected, and data is routed efficiently across the network.
Load Balancing: Implement load balancing to ensure that network traffic is distributed evenly across servers and other resources, improving overall network efficiency and reducing the risk of system overload.and best practices in the area of duty operations to ensure function delivers best in class service to flyadeal.


Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in aeronautics, aviation, science or equivalent field.
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required. Additional Languages will be desirable.
Minimum 4 years of experience in aviation as an Operations Controller. Can be substitute if 4 years’ experience as a Flight Dispatcher within Flyadeal.
Licenced Flight Dispatcher preferably GACA
Knowledge of GACAR 121 and 117
Networking Protocols: Proficiency in networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN, is essential for network configuration and troubleshooting.
Router and Switch Configuration: Experience with configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware is important.
Network Security: Strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices to protect the network from external and internal threats.
Network Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG Network Monitor to analyze and optimize network performance.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with other IT teams.
Project Management: Organizational skills for managing network upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting projects.
