What you get to do in this role:
- We are an Operations team that is responsible for the capacity of ServiceNow customers.
- Manage monitor and manipulate the server farm behind ServiceNows cloud.
- Work directly on/with the servers to enable and optimize capacity utilization for ServiceNows customer base.
- Enhance processes and tools necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
- Provide proactive management and innovation to ensure 100% success of ServiceNow cloud automation.
Qualifications :
Required
- Basic to Midrange Linux System Admin skills preferably working knowledge of Centos and RedHat.
- Proactively monitor and maintain sitewide capacity demands.
- Basic understanding of enterpriseclass server hardware eg. Dell.
- Basic understanding of storage concepts such as NFS and iSCSI.
- Basic understanding of DNS/DHCP and PXE boot kickstart process.
- Understanding of backup policies and restore concepts.
- Intermediate to deep understanding of service and components of enterprise cloud capacity operations.
- Basic experience in fastpaced operations and engineering environments.
- Understanding of database concepts with specific experience with MySQL/Postgres.
- Collaborate with partner teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
- Team collaboration and fit are essential.
Preferred
- Basic understanding of ServiceNow asset management.
- Intermediate to advanced network troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Puppet configuration management.
- Good to have Storage configuration concepts configuration and experience.
- Good to have API development Ansible Python Linux shell scripting and PowerShell.
- Participate in Oncall coverage.
