Roles and responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products before release. This role involves leading the QA team, overseeing the testing process, and collaborating with developers, product owners, and operations teams while ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy aligned with project goals.
• Create detailed test plans, including scope, objectives, resources, schedules, and deliverables.
• Define test cases, scenarios, and success criteria.
• Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests to ensure thorough coverage.
• Monitor and manage the test environment, data, and tools.
• Document, track, and resolve all identified defects.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, design, and implementation details.
• Work with product management to align the QA process with business objectives.
• Communicate test results, risks, and issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
• Partner with the cybersecurity team to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Implement best practices for testing, including automation, continuous integration, and DevOps approaches.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the QA process.
• Identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
• Escalate and address critical issues promptly.
• Generate detailed test reports, including metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and pass/fail rates.
• Maintain documentation for all testing activities, including test cases, scripts, and defect logs.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by assisting business users and end-users in performing tests and ensuring UAT aligns with the intended functionality.
• Ensure the test environment mirrors the production environment to identify potential issues early.
• Coordinate with IT teams to manage and maintain the test environment.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT QA, including expertise in testing methodologies, test automation, and quality assurance tools, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for IT quality assurance.
Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and scripting for test automation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving complex system issues.
Ensure the test environment mirrors the production environment to identify potential issues early.
Coordinate with IT teams to manage and maintain the test environment.
