Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Caregiver to provide assistance to elderly senior in her daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy patience and understanding towards the needs of the elderly.
The primary responsibility of the caregiver will be to ensure the wellbeing safety and comfort of the elderly mother while promoting her independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
Monitoring and administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Providing mobility assistance including transferring positioning and walking support.
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if necessary.
Performing light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living spaces doing laundry and maintaining cleanliness.
Accompanying the elderly mother to medical appointments social outings and other activities.
Engaging in meaningful conversations companionship and emotional support.
Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or behavior to the family and healthcare providers.
Encouraging participation in cognitive and physical activities to promote mental acuity and physical wellbeing.
Adhering to safety practices and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a personal caregiver for the elderly.
Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with empathy and respect.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and problemsolving skills.
Patience compassion and a positive attitude towards caregiving.
Physical stamina and ability to assist with lifting moving and standing for extended periods.
CPR and first aid certification (preferred but not mandatory).
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Working Conditions:
This is a parttime/fulltime position based on the needs of the elderly senior.
The caregiver may need to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
The job may require occasional travel with the elderly mother for appointments or outings.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
