Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts payable, ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and promptly, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
Resolve discrepancies or issues related to vendor accounts or payments.
Maintain vendor records and handle vendor inquiries professionally.
Prepare reports and assist in financial audits.
Continuously identify process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
1. Greeting and Seating Guests
Welcoming Guests: Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables, offering a friendly and professional demeanor.
Presenting Menus: Provide guests with menus and introduce them to the specials or new items.
Answering Questions: Answer guests' questions about the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and food allergies, ensuring clarity and transparency.
2. Taking Orders
Order Taking: Accurately take guests' food and beverage orders, making sure to record any special preferences, dietary restrictions, or requests.
Suggesting Dishes and Drinks: Suggest menu items, wines, or desserts to enhance the guest dining experience, using knowledge of the menu and any ongoing promotions.
Inputting Orders: Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff in a timely manner.
3. Serving Food and Beverages
Serving Food: Serve food and beverages to guests in an efficient, polite, and timely manner, ensuring that each guest is satisfied with their meal.
Ensuring Correctness: Double-check that the right food and drinks are served to the correct guests and that orders are accurate.
Providing Refills: Offer refills on beverages, checking in with guests to ensure they have everything they need throughout the meal.
4. Providing Excellent Customer Service
Anticipating Needs: Anticipate and respond to guests' needs, ensuring they have everything necessary for a pleasant dining experience (e.g., condiments, utensils, napkins).
Addressing Issues: Handle any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Personalizing Experience: Be attentive and professional, providing a personalized experience for repeat customers or special occasions.


Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and provide an exceptional experience.
Attention to Detail: The ability to accurately take orders, serve food, and ensure all guest requests are met.
Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tables and guests simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service.
Time Management: Effectively managing the timing of food and drink orders to ensure prompt and accurate service.
Physical Stamina: The ability to be on your feet for long periods, carrying trays and moving around the dining area.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with other waiters, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Knowledge of the Menu: Understanding the restaurant’s offerings, including food, drinks, and specials, to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
