Job Description
The Hydropower & Dams Department is looking for a mechanical engineering technician to take part in energy projects involving the design and refurbishment of production and mechanical equipment at hydroelectric power stations and facilities. We offer a flexible hybrid work model enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices. The position can be based in the greater Montreal or Sherbrooke areas.
Primary Responsibilites
- Produce CAD drawings in AutoCAD
- Participate in the design and provide engineering support for projects related to new installations and hydroelectric turbinegenerator replacement addition modification and refurbishment projects.
- Responsible for coordinating drawings in internal and external platforms such as Logesdes for HydroQubec projects.
Qualifications :
- College Diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering or its equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software
- Proficiency in 3D design software (an asset)
- Autonomy initiative and ability to work as part of a team
- Fluency in spoken and written French
- Proficiency in oral and written English in a professional context to ensure communications on certain projects nationwide
