Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and organized Payroll Technician to join our team! In this role you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. If you have a strong understanding of payroll systems excellent problemsolving skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service we encourage you to apply and become a key contributor to our success. 

  • Update payroll and HR data in Workday finalize offboarding files and ensure data integrity; 
  • Respond to questions and requests from team members and external organizations regarding payroll and Human Resources data; 
  • Manage the daily operations of business entities using Time and Labor develop communications with operators and make exception corrections; 
  • Analyze and process payrollrelated journal entries; 
  • Process source deduction remittances as needed and issue Records of Employment; 
  • Distribute the workload among the various technicians; 
  • Provide support to the payroll manager and act as a replacement during their absences. 

Qualifications :

To join our team you will need among other things: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience; 
  • Knowledge of Workday or another payroll system and a strong proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables; 
  • Bilingualism in French and English both spoken and written as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada; 
  • Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association or completion of some courses (asset).
