The Maternity Service is a Level 5 Service in the Victorian State-wide Capability Framework for Maternity, and the Special Care Nursery is a Level 4, caring for babies from 32 weeks gestation - 1700 births per annum

Essential:- Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia and fellowship with a respective college - FRANZCOG
- Extensive knowledge of current trends affecting public sector health services in Australia.
- Advanced change management and communication skills
Must be able to demonstrate:- Effective interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
- A commitment to ongoing clinical education.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience in management of medical staff rostering and leave.
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance as this pertains to Obstetrics & Gynaecology
