The Maternity Service is a Level 5 Service in the Victorian State-wide Capability Framework for Maternity, and the Special Care Nursery is a Level 4, caring for babies from 32 weeks gestation - 1700 births per annum

The Hospital:
This is a 700-bed teaching hospital offering a suite of medical services, catering for a population of more than 320,000.

The Location:
Offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities and various tertiary facilities. A population over 100,000, located only 150 km s from Melbourne.

Essential:

1. Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia and fellowship with a respective college - FRANZCOG
2. Extensive knowledge of current trends affecting public sector health services in Australia.
3. Advanced change management and communication skills

Must be able to demonstrate:

• Effective interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
• A commitment to ongoing clinical education.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience in management of medical staff rostering and leave.
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance as this pertains to Obstetrics & Gynaecology
