Job Description

Are you ready to make a significant impact We are on the lookout for a HR Manager to be the cornerstone of our HR operations at Sakatti. In this exciting role youll be the goto expert for local HR matters providing expert advice coaching and guidance to our leadership team.

As the first point of contact for all things HR youll handle a variety of tasks including people advisory learning and development performance management and employee relations. Your daytoday operations will be crucial in ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Core Responsibilities (amongst others): 

  • Delivering local advisory service across hire to retire activities of the employee lifecycle in line with legislation and collective agreements interpret and operationalise policies and processes locally
  • Manage all aspects of the local onboarding and offboarding processes including preparing contracts inducting new employees and payroll changes.
  • Work with the Group People & Organisation team on compensation and benefits matters and execute requirements locally.
  • Support the Sakatti Project Manager in building a high performing culture guide and upskill people managers on having the right performance related conversations and reviews. Have an understanding on the performance management cycle/process identify causes of underperformance and escalate where necessary.
  • Manage employee relations cases (individual speak up liaising/consulting with local work councils and unions). Drive the required people activity related to collective agreement negotiations and external reporting requests
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees and people managers on the interpretation of People & Organisation policies processes and terms and conditions of employment. Drive continuous improvement through consistent advice and continuing to promote the use of selfservice.

Qualifications :

  • Good understanding of Finnish employment law collective agreements payroll taxation and working hour systems with expertise in compliance best practices and trends.
  • Knowledge and experience within mining or related industries would be preferred
  • Generalist knowledge of HR management and the employee lifecycle.
  • Understanding of best practice regarding reward talent management performance management resourcing and assessment.
  • Working knowledge of change management principles processes and best practices.
  • Understanding of payroll systems.
