Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The da Vinci Key Customer Manager plays a critical role in building and developing the installed base of da Vinci Surgical Systems within key account represented facilities in the United States.  The major responsibilities are to manage and direct the corporate level sales of da Vinci Surgical Systems and to grow the utilization through increased procedures.  This will be accomplished through a variety of activities including corporate level relationships hospital/account specific activities and direct interaction with ISI da Vinci Sales Managers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide single point of contact for all Investor Owned GPO and IDN groups
  • Negotiates group contracts and sales
  • Provides clients with product information demonstrations etc.
  • Accountable for both maintaining and growing business in contracted groups
  • Manage expenses within budget
  • Manage the development and implementation of national sales campaign
  • Manage key surgeons/customer relationships
  • Working involvement in weekly and quarterly sales planning process
  • Extensive travel

Qualifications :

Skills Experience Education & Training
Bachelors degree required

  • 5 Years of Capital Medical Device Sales required
  • Medical Device Sales Experience within the Operating Room preferred
  • Excellent capital and clinical selling skills with ability to quickly build credibility with a highly educated customer base
  • Proven Ability to Develop KOLs w QTI Data and Centers of Excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and work in an environment of change
  • Knowledge of hospital/healthcare Ssystem business environment
  • Proven ability to coordinate and project manage people in complex environments
  • Health system account management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with Executive and C Suite level customers
