Job Description
A prominent financial services firm dedicated to managing risk effectively while delivering highquality services to its clients.
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Risk to lead their risk management activities in Cyprus. This senior leadership position will play a pivotal role in identifying assessing and mitigating risk across the organisation ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the firms risk culture.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with the firms strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Identify assess and monitor key risks facing the organization including credit operational market and compliance risks.
Lead the risk assessment process including the evaluation of new products services and business initiatives.
Provide risk insights and recommendations to senior management and the board contributing to informed decisionmaking processes.
Establish and maintain effective risk reporting mechanisms to communicate risk exposures and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Foster a strong risk culture within the organization promoting awareness and understanding of risk management practices among staff.
Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory developments and best practices in risk management to enhance the firms risk framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance Risk Management Business Administration or a related field; a relevant professional qualification (e.g. FRM PRM CFA) is preferred.
Extensive experience (8 years) in risk management within the financial services sector with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Proven ability to analyze complex data identify trends and develop actionable risk management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing and mentoring team members.
