Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team in Leigh United Kingdom. As a Domiciliary Care Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing highquality care and support to individuals in their own homes helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing dressing and grooming
- Prepare and serve meals ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients health conditions
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the care coordinator
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Respond promptly to clients needs and emergencies
- Travel to various locations within Leigh and surrounding areas to provide care
- We pay 12.00 per hour and 12.50 per on weekends DOUBLE on bank holidays we also pay 45p per mile.
Qualifications :
- Valid driving licence and access to a car (essential)
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and personal care
- Empathetic and patient approach to caregiving
- Basic understanding of home care practices and regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and alternate weekends
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and training
