Job Description
To provide prompt efficient pickup and delivery of LTL freight into and out of the city and surrounding areas while providing quality service to our customers.
Inspects truck and trailer for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
Ensure freight is properly loaded on the trailer to avoid claims and for delivery and unloading purposes
Read all paperwork checking for instructions such as appointment times handling instructions delivery instructions etc.
Pick up and deliver LTL freight without delay or damage
Ensure all paperwork is properly completed
Drive in a defensive and courteous manner this is a rolling advertisement for the company
Develop a good rapport with customers everything you say or do reflects on the company
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications :
A knowledge of load security forklift experience professional driver improvement course (covers items such as accident reporting DG etc.)
Valid class 5 License
Clean Abstract
Clear Criminal Record Check
