Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Aged Care Personal Care Support Workers to join our team. In this vital role you will provide essential care and support to elderly individuals ensuring their wellbeing and enhancing their quality of life. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities personal care and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily personal care activities including bathing dressing grooming and toileting ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Mobility Assistance: Support clients with mobility including transferring positioning and helping with walking and exercise routines.
- Medication Assistance: Help clients with medication management as prescribed ensuring accurate administration and monitoring for side effects.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare and assist with mealtimes ensuring clients receive nutritious and balanced diets according to their individual needs.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients engaging them in meaningful activities and conversations to enhance their social wellbeing.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients health or behavior to the healthcare team ensuring timely intervention if needed.
- Adhere to Protocols: Follow organisational policies procedures and safety guidelines to maintain quality of care and ensure client safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Home and Community) or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in aged care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Vaccinations: Uptodate with annual flu and COVID19 vaccinations.
- Work Rights: Must have full work rights in Australia.

- Organisational Skills: Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in a diverse environment and understanding of cultural considerations in aged care.
