Job Description

Job Title: Middleware Administrator

Location of posting: Mumbai

Experience Range :25 Years

Mode of Work: Onsite Support (Shifts)

Required Qualification

  • B.E. / M.E.
  • B. Tech / M Tech
  • M.C.A. / M. Sc

Required Skill Set

  • Middleware Administrator (Sound knowledge of APACHE TOMCAT JBOSS and IBM WebSphere technologies)
  • PostgreSQL experience is a must

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of middleware application software viz. APACHE TOMCAT JBOSS and IBM WebSphere.
  • Patch management and Fixpack upgrade and adhering to the company policies for Patch Management Change Management and other applicable processes.
  • Closure of any reported open vulnerabilities within the specified timeframe
  • Performance monitoring and carrying out configuration changes
  • Monitoring of CPU and memory utilization and to provide daily reports and alerts thereof.
  • Configuration of data sources for application.
  • Assist in Production Deployment
  • To provide monthly report regarding authorized user access and seek Internal Approvals.
  • Clustering & HA setup and maintenance on all Web App Rabbit MQ
  • Backup & Recovery on middleware.
  • Develop scripts to apply security best practices hardening to middleware and messaging platforms
  • Periodic backup and DR strategy for middleware and MQ configurations.
  • Implement monitoring standards automated alerting and integration with the incident management tool
  • Overall capacity planning and drive performance benchmarking exercises.
  • Handle escalations for high impacting P1 incidents.
  • Plan patch management and ensure upto date inventory.
  • Generation of selfsigned SSL certificates key pairs for encryption and decryption.
  • Perform proof of concept exercises vendor evaluations feasibility study for new tools/products and plan a roadmap for production deployment

  • Knowledge about Hardware and associated peripherals.
  • Understanding about Network and Internet Connectivity.
  • Understanding of Information Security.
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Should have worked in production support/ monitoring function.
  • Basic understanding about SDLC.
