Job Description

Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Karnataka

Qualifications: Any Graduate

Experience

  • Minimum of 58 years of experience in safety management particularly within the power transmission construction or energy sectors.

Compensation Package:

The offered CTC will be determined based on the candidates experience previous employment history and the current market standards. We value your experience and aim to provide a competitive package that reflects your qualifications and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local national and international safety regulations and standards.
  • Design and enforce safety policies and procedures ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments on all stages of transmission line projects (design construction testing and commissioning).
  • Identify potential hazards and risks associated with the project and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate the safety risks onsite and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for all personnel involved in transmission line projects including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all employees are trained on safety procedures emergency response and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all personnel are familiar with emergency evacuation plans.
  • Regularly inspect construction sites equipment and tools to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
  • Perform daily/weekly safety inspections to identify unsafe work practices and rectify issues.
  • Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure that it is properly maintained and used.
  • Lead investigations of any accidents incidents or near misses onsite ensuring a root cause analysis is conducted.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements in reporting incidents to relevant authorities.
  • Keep track of all safety documentation permits and safetyrelated reports for recordkeeping and audit purposes.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans including coordination with local authorities and emergency services.
  • Ensure the site is equipped with proper first aid facilities and that a trained firstaid team is available onsite.
  • Ensure that all contractors and subcontractors comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety orientations and inspections for external parties working on the transmission line projects.
