Job Description
Position: Senior Tax Accountant
Reports to: Senior Accountant
Industry: Mining
Location: Phnom Penh Cambodia
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to lead our Tax team and drive growth in our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Taxation and Accounting exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of assisting in tax and advisor to team on monthly tax
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly and annual tax returns (e.g. VAT Withholding Tax Tax on Salary Annual Tax on Profit) to ensure compliance with Cambodian tax regulations.
- Monitor changes in Cambodian tax laws and Prakas issued by the General Department of Taxation (GDT) and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Handle tax audits and inspections coordinating with the GDT to resolve any taxrelated issues or disputes.
- Maintain proper documentation and accurate tax records to comply with Cambodian tax requirements and facilitate internal or external audits.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities within the local regulatory framework.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure alignment with Cambodias tax policies and business objectives.
- Supervise and guide junior staff in preparing tax filings and improving compliance with Cambodian tax regulations.
- Recommend and implement strategies to streamline tax processes and enhance operational efficiency in alignment with local standards.
- Other tasks assigned by Accounting and Finance Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting & Finance.
- 3 years of experience in Accounting and Tax.
- Friendly and Good Communicate with teamwork.
- Taxation Knowledge will be considered preferentially.
- Proficient in computer applications with advanced Excel skills for financial tasks.
- Adaptable to various tasks and work environments.
- Highly accountable and capable of handling additional tasks as assigned.
Working Hours:
- Mon Fri: 8:30 am 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Saturday: 8:30 am 12:00 pm
