Position Overview:
The Head of Cyber Threat is responsible for overseeing the organization s cyber threat intelligence detection and response efforts. This role includes developing and executing strategies to identify assess and mitigate cybersecurity threats while ensuring the organizations systems data and infrastructure remain secure. The individual will lead a team of experts collaborate with crossfunctional departments and provide strategic guidance to strengthen the organizations overall security posture.

Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the organizations cyber threat management and response strategy.
Establish policies processes and best practices for threat intelligence and incident response.
Serve as a subject matter expert on cyber threats advising executive leadership on risk and mitigation strategies.
Threat Intelligence and Analysis:
Oversee the collection analysis and dissemination of threat intelligence from various sources (e.g. dark web opensource industry partners).

Monitor emerging threats vulnerabilities and attack techniques to proactively adjust defenses.
Build and maintain partnerships with external intelligencesharing organizations and industry peers.
Threat Detection and Response:
Lead the design and implementation of advanced threat detection systems including SIEM EDR and threathunting tools.

Manage the incident response team to ensure rapid containment mitigation and recovery from cyber incidents.
Conduct postincident analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit mentor and lead a highperforming team of cybersecurity professionals.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the cyber threat team.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team expertise in emerging threats and technologies.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation efforts.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement controls that reduce the risk of cyber threats.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Reporting and Metrics:
Develop and present detailed reports on the organizations threat landscape incident trends and risk posture to stakeholders and leadership.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of threat management initiatives.
Provide recommendations for investment in cybersecurity tools technologies and personnel.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related field.

8 years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 35 years in a leadership role focused on threat intelligence and incident response.
Technical Expertise:
Indepth knowledge of cyber threats attack vectors and mitigation strategies.

Experience with advanced threat detection tools malware analysis and forensic techniques.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST MITRE ATT&CK ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and develop diverse multidisciplinary teams.

Strong decisionmaking and crisis management skills under pressure.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
Other relevant cybersecurity certifications
Additional Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Knowledge of scripting and automation for threat detection (e.g. Python PowerShell).
Familiarity with cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
