Job Description

Position: Cath Lab Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cath Lab Technologist to join our esteemed clients team in Lewiston ID. As a leading healthcare recruitment and consulting firm we are dedicated to providing our clients with the best talent in the industry. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for patient care and a strong background in cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of cardiac procedures in the cath lab including diagnostic and interventional procedures under the direction of a physician

Prepare and maintain sterile fields equipment and supplies for procedures

Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning and comfort during procedures

Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as angiography machines and pressure monitoring systems

Administer medications and contrast media as directed by physicians

Document procedures and patient information accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Participate in oncall rotation and occasional weekend shifts as needed

Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities

Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field

Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

Minimum of 2 years experience working in a cardiac cath lab setting

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and hemodynamics

Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment

Willingness to participate in oncall rotation and work occasional weekends

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
