Job Summary
Oversee the governance of strategic partnerships in research development and commercialization partnerships. This includes managing governance committees identifying key issues and finding solutions. Monitor the implementation and compliance with agreed research development and commercialization plans; take appropriate measures to ensure execution:
Work directly with the partner companies to define the direction and scope of the implementation of the partnership agreements: key activities timeline and responsibilities on each side.
Crisis management: address current issues that require immediate attention while minimizing crisis management situations.
Carry out regular audits of the alliance and health checks of the relationship with partners.
Compliance / Contract Management liaise with legal finance R&D commercial and other functions to ensure key contract milestones financial transactions progress reporting etc. are completed are processed appropriately and also to provide information /updates as necessary. Collect/develop and regularly monitor the quality of forecast where appropriate to support financial planning activities.
Responsibilities & Duties
Conduct regular reviews / meetings with senior management and other functions as appropriate to communicate key issues milestones etc and collect feedback.
Lead and/or participate in contract negotiations if applicable.
Participate in the review of negotiations of new contracts with partners where applicable and provide information on the terms of execution of the partnership contract in particular governance structures and processes.
Develop expertise on the partner company including company organization/leadership strategies finances priorities etc; become Menarinis "internal expert" on the partner companies;
Participate in alliance management group meetings to review progress and issues and share best practices.
Other general tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth running of the departments activity.
Team responsibilities
You will be responsible of hiring training and organise the activities of 23 members of your team (Alliance Management Specialist and Alliance Management Associate)
You will direct the team towards achieving the desired targets. You will offer essential support resources and guidance to each member enabling them to correctly perform their duties.
You shall oversee and manage the team ensuring that every member works to their fullest potential and delivers their assigned tasks with the highest proficiency. In accordance with the Alliance Management Director you will set goals and priorities assign tasks provide direction coach the team members.
You shall identify potential challenges and risks and solve problems efficiently and in a timely fashion.
You will have to give constructive feedback to the team members; you own strong communication easy approachability excellent problem solving and positive thinking.
Essential Skills
University Degree in Economics Business Administration or Law
Perfect command of English is mandatory and the knowledge of Italian French German or any other language is considered as an asset
A previous working experience of minimum 5 years in an equivalent role is mandatory.
Good knowledge of license agreements and project management in the pharmaceutical field is requested.
Proactive flexible as well as excellent analytical and writing skills naturally gifted with diplomatic competence.
Critical listener you know how to raise awareness among sophisticated structures to achieve your target; you like working with figures and demonstrate good communication and organizational expertise.
You had international exposure during your previous professional experience and willing to travel when needed
Confidence with the management of challenging situations and able to provide innovative solutions
Nice to have Skills
Your position may require frequent travel abroad.
