Seeking an experienced EpicBeaker project manager who thrives in a fastpaced highstress environment andis able to manage the planning and implementation of a new Electronic HealthRecord system implementation and transition from legacy RCM.
CANDIDATE MUST BE CERTIFIED INBEAKER.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services requires the services of a EXPERT Epic Beaker project manager to manage the planning and implementation of an EHR implementation project for the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities and transition from the three legacy LIS applications. This project management role will work with other EHR project managers and executive leadership team multiple internal and external stakeholders and selected vendor(s) to analyze plan and implement the clinical/laboratory components required for an Epic EHR system. This position will be responsible for working with seniorlevel business executives IT management and personnel business program resources and vendor staff to define and execute requirements and manage stakeholder expectations. This position will manage the daytoday activities for the assigned portion of the project and complete all input into overall EHR program reporting and the States Project Portfolio Tool (MS Project Server) and/or Smart sheet as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the scope schedule and quality of the project for the Beaker Clinical EHR build team.
Setting clear expectations for team members including defining what they should do at each phase of the project.
Working closely with the EHR Program Director and other project managers/team managers to coordinate activities.
Ensuring that the business community is engaged in the project.
Advising and coaching team members by providing guidance on project issues key success factors of the project and lessons learned.
Sharing with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities.
Reinforcing the importance of the project together with the EHR program executives and the Program Director and providing consistent communication to the project team
Organizing resources within the organization
Motivating and showing appreciation for the team
Appropriately matching team member skills to team responsibilities
Managing the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks
Assisting as a support contact for revenue cycle.
Identifying and troubleshooting issues.
Guiding workflow design building and testing the system and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software.
Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic implementation staff
Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives including participating in weekly project team meetings
Working with Epicrepresentatives the business community and end users to ensure the systemmeets the organizations business needs in regard to the project deliverablesand timeline.
Developing an understanding ofoperational needs to set the direction for the organizations workflows.
Participating in training andworking with end users.
Reporting and reviewing thestatus of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Holding weekly communicationswith team members to discuss the status of deliverables shared issuesenduser concerns budget and upcoming milestones.
