Job Description
- Key Responsibilities (KRAs)s
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the companys overall goals.
- Oversee financial planning budgeting forecasting and cash flow management.
- Analyse financial risks and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to the MD and Board of Directors.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and presentation of financial statements.
- Oversee compliance with local state federal and international reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Lead the annual financial audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and advise the leadership team on risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor economic and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage the companys cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity.
- Oversee banking relationships and optimize capital structure.
- Develop investment strategies to maximize returns on excess cash while managing risk.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead mentor and develop the finance and accounting team to build a highperforming department.
- Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and collaboration within the finance function.
- Support crossfunctional teams by providing financial insights and guidance.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Financial Performance:
- Accuracy of financial forecasts vs. actual performance (variance analysis).
- Achievement of revenue profit and EBITDA targets.
- Return on assets (ROA) return on equity (ROE) and return on investment (ROI).
- Cash Flow and Liquidity Management:
- Cash flow from operations and free cash flow.
- Days sales outstanding (DSO) days payable outstanding (DPO) and inventory turnover ratio.
- Working capital ratio and current ratio.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Adherence to budget (variance analysis).
- Percentage reduction in operating costs or improvement in cost efficiency.
- Reduction in unnecessary expenditures or cost overruns.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Compliance with legal regulatory and tax requirements.
- Successful completion of audits with minimal findings or adjustments.
- Risk Management:
- Implementation and effectiveness of risk management strategies.
- Number of risk incidents or financial irregularities.
- Effectiveness of internal controls and processes (measured through audits and reviews).
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field (Masters preferred).
- CA or equivalent financial certifications preferred.
- 10 years of experience in financial management with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance accounting principles and risk management.
- Excellent analytical strategic planning and communication skills.
