Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Qiddiya Investment Company is a leading real estate company, known for its innovative and sustainable projects. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate - Accounts Payable to join our dynamic finance team. As a Senior Associate - Accounts Payable, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving any payment discrepancies. You will also assist in the development and implementation of accounts payable processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
  • Perform reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any payment discrepancies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve any vendor-related issues or inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable
  • . Invoice Processing

  • Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring that they are accurate and comply with company policies.
  • Match purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices to ensure proper approval and payment authorization.
  • Enter invoice data into the accounting system and ensure that all required documentation is attached to support the payment process.
  • Ensure that all invoices are coded to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers.
  • 2. Payment Management

  • Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers via check, wire transfer, ACH, or other payment methods, ensuring timely payments within the agreed-upon terms.
  • Track payment due dates and ensure that payments are made within the company's credit terms to avoid late fees and maintain good vendor relationships.
  • Assist with the preparation of payment runs and ensure that payments are accurate and approved before being issued.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and best practices
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in invoices, payments, and accounting records.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with vendors, internal teams, and management to resolve inquiries and issues.
Problem-Solving: Capable of investigating discrepancies and resolving issues efficiently and accurately.
Knowledge of Accounting Software: Experience with accounting systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
Time Management: Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of general accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Excel and Word to manage data, generate reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
