We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Care Professional to join our team in Shoreham Kent. As a Live In Care Professional you will provide essential support and companionship to a elderly male client requiring general support within his home. You will be required to enhance his quality of life and help him maintain his independence.
- Live in the clients home providing roundtheclock care and support
- Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Assist with personal care tasks including bathing dressing and grooming
- Plan prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Accompany clients to appointments social events and outings
- Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed
- Monitor clients physical and emotional wellbeing reporting any changes or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and clients condition
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Organise and participate in stimulating activities tailored to the clients interests and abilities
- Assist with pet care when required
- Manage household tasks such as laundry shopping and running errands
Salary
- 120.00 daily rate
- Additional 5.00 per day food allowance
- Approx 3 week on 1 week off rota (can be negotiated)
- Full milage paid when using car for client purposes
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to use own or clients vehicle when necessary
- Genuine passion for caring for others with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
- Previous experience in caring or a related field (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in personal care techniques and light housekeeping
- Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers
- Understanding of medication management and administration
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimers care (preferred)
- Ability to maintain a professional and supportive attitude in challenging situations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
- Excellent observation and reporting skills
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes
- Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Additional Information :
As a Live In Care Professional you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition we offer comprehensive training and support.
