Job Description
Seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with a Masters degree in Structural Engineering (preferred) or a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and 8 years of experience specializing in steel structures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural analysis and design ensuring safe standardscompliant designs from concept to construction stages with precise alignment to architectural plans. Proficiency in software such as SAP2000 ETABS STAAD Pro and Safe is essential along with familiarity in connection design using tools like Idea Statica RAM Connection MathCad or Excel.
Extensive knowledge of steel design codes (e.g. AISC Eurocode Indian Standards) and experience in diverse projects from largescale commercial to mixeduse and industrial infrastructure are required
Technical
1 Capable of ensuring designs and drawings are accurate tie in with architectural design and adhere to design Standards.
2 Familiar with applicable international and local design manuals codes and regulations
3 Capable of producing technical reports.
4 Capable of maintaining records of communication with all stakeholders such as emails scans and letters.
5 Capable of attending and participating in meetings and contributing as expected.
6 Capable of communicating with other disciplines in a skilled and diligent manner.
7 Capable of demonstrating a strong ability to multitasking and prioritizing.
Team Management
1 Capable of providing assistance to Principal Engineers Associate Directors and Directors as required.
2 Capable of maintaining a high level of communication and teamwork with other Structural Engineers and technicians.
3 Capable of mentoring Junior Engineers graduates and technicians and assisting with the training of subordinate engineers.
Commercial /Financial
1 Capable of Providing assistance to Project Management on projects as required.
2 Control the resource consumption.
Skillsets: Required Skills and Experience
1 BEng / MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering
2 Ideally Chartered Engineer CEng MIStructE / MICE
3 A minimum of 8 years post graduate experience
4 Working knowledge of design standards and practices and engineering codes relevant to structural designs and drawings
5 Strong IT skills knowledge of BIM processes and implementation
6 Experience of working in Autocad and/or Revit
7 Experience with commercial retail mediumrise or highrise building projects
8 Able to prepare structural engineering reports.
9 Some experience of Common Data Environment platforms such as BIM360 Viewpoint or Aconex
10 Experience in parametric design tools for automation such as Dynamo / Grasshopper or Python is desirable.
11 Knowledge and practical experience of Calculation / Structural Software
