As a summer intern at Ramboll you will be given responsibility from day one you will perform versatile tasks and participate in creating innovative and sustainable solutions together with experienced professionals.
Your new role and team
As a BRIDGE DESIGNER / MODELLER you are part of a 15people international Major Crossings bridge unit located in Espoo Tampere and Oulu. Our unit designs bridges in Finland and around the world. International projects are designed together with other Major Crossings units located in Denmark Norway the United Kingdom and India.
Bridge design is one of the most fascinating engineering professions. You will use theoretical skills learned in school and see the concrete results of your work.
Your tasks will include:
- Assistant designer or modeler tasks
- Structural calculations (designer)
- Parametric information modeling
You will work at least initially in our Espoo office. To support your learning work is done onsite in the office. The exact start date can be agreed upon.
Your background
We hope that our summer interns will grow into our future colleagues experts and project managers. You can trust that your supervisor and colleagues will offer their support and help when you need it.
For this summer job we hope you have:
- Studies in civil engineering
- Studies in bridge design or structural mechanics
- Proficiency in Tekla and Sofistik (designer)
- Proficiency in Grasshopper and Rhino software is an advantage
