Technical Director - Health Cost Management

Our highperforming Cost Management Group in Melbourne are looking for an Associate Director / Technical Director to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for providing cost management / quantity surveying services on some of Melbournes most iconic projects. This role would suit an experience professional who is looking to lead and guide cost management teams across diverse projects in challenging environments. This position operates across a variety of project sectors including; Healthcare Defence Energy mainly with the opportunity to work on Education Civil Infrastructure Industrial and Commercial projects too. The AECOM Cost Management team benefits from integrated cost / design opportunities and global reach enabling our team to provide a higher standard of consulting.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Manage a number of concurrent complex projects across our Health Portfolio including; delegating work managing the client and using your outstanding technical skills to deliver outcomes to key clients and stakeholders.
• Act as Project Director / Health Portfolio Lead on projects including being responsible for managing cost budget and timelines of multiple projects in parallel.
• Use your network across the local market to build relationships with new and existing clients further enhancing AECOMs presence.
• Contribute to the delivery of major projects by assist with feasibility studies capital cost advice in addition to aiding with cost planning and estimating during the design phase construction phase cost & project management and lifecycle costing.
• Guide mentor and develop younger Cost Managers within the business. 

Qualifications :

What are we looking for from you

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering Construction Management Quantity Surveying or other related discipline.
• Strong knowledge and working practice of Australian Quantity Surveying/Cost Management standards frameworks and processes.
• Track record working for an Engineering or PQS firm as a Senior member of the QS/Cost Management with exposure to Health Projects 
• Significant skills in managing multiple project costs and budgets in a clientfacing role.
• The passion and communication skills to guide and mentor more junior members of the team to aid in their professional development.
