Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager I Associate to be based in New York NY. Will operate directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs. Will report to a Project Officer Level I II III or to a Senior Project Officer. May perform a broad range of supportive and necessary school construction technical tasks of varying degrees of difficulty in a variety of assignments within the Construction Management Department.
Responsibilities:
- Review documents submitted for Cityrequired building and other permits for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies.
- Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry review and/or approval.
- Research existing building status from City records at various agencies.
- Perform related tasks.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a related field plus no relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shall have a four (4) year college degree from an accredited college related to construction management architecture or engineering or
- A two (2) years technical degree from accredited college and two (2) years of fulltime experience performing: construction inspection and monitoring of construction projects or
- Will have a working knowledge of computer software system (e.g. Excel Word).
- A drivers license valid in New York State.
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
