Job Description

AECOM is seeking a fulltime Contract Administrator to work at one of our municipal wastewater infrastructure construction project sites (wastewater treatment plant in Toronto/East End)

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Project Manager Design Team Client and Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problems 
  • Review construction submittals
  • Monitor conformance to quality performance specifications and/or code requirements
  • Coordinate inspections provide regular updates to project team and the Client review and prepare contractor payment applications and respond to RFIs.
  • Issue RFQs Change Orders Change Directives Site Instructions
  • Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes
  • Participate in the resolution of delay and other claims by the contractor
  • Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (progress meeting commissioning meeting etc.)
  • Participate/coordinate in testing and commissioning activities
  • Function as AECOMs Onsite Safety Officer

 

 

 

 


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field 4 years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Contract administration experience
  • Registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible within 12 months.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspection 8
  • Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g. mobilization shop drawing reviews construction startup and commissioning project closeout etc.)
  • Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work in teams respond to changing demands be decisive under pressure and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Supervised construction related to vertical infrastructure (i.e. concrete structures buildings process equipment HVAC and plumbing electrical works I&C works).
  • Process equipment commissioning experience
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
