Job Description

Senior Care Practitioner (Days) – Fleetwood Hall Care Home

  • Hourly Rate: £13.68 per hour
  • Hours: 38.5 hours per week (34 shifts per week on a rotating schedule)
  • Shift Times: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM

Fleetwood Hall Care Home part of the Sandstone Care Group is a modern 62bed residential facility nestled near the beautiful Lancashire coastline. Our dedicated team led by Manager Joanne provides compassionate care in a supportive environment utilizing stateoftheart facilities and innovative care planning technology. We foster a community where residents can thrive and participate in activities that celebrate their individuality from gardening to birthday celebrations.

We are seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our day team and help us continue to deliver the highest standards of care.

As a Senior Care Practitioner at our home your role may involve:

  • Completing necessary training to stay current with best practices
  • Assisting residents with personal care hygiene meals and daily activities
  • Administering medications per care plans and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Encouraging residents to pursue fulfilling activities respecting their hobbies preferences and abilities
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home
  • Leading in a senior capacity including supervising staff conducting appraisals managing recordkeeping coordinating with external professionals and participating in hiring processes

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What are we looking for

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a residential or nursing care setting
  • A compassionate personality and a positive attitude
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or a commitment to achieve it
  • Proficiency in recordkeeping and familiarity with technology
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to guide team members effectively
  • Flexibility to accommodate shift patterns tailored to residents' needs
