Job Description
Role Responsibilities:
Key Tasks:
- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims on behalf of tenants
- Draft Letters of Claim and collate special damages
- Review housing records and surveyor s reports to assess liability
- Negotiate settlements and conduct mediations
- Liaise with counsel and issue court proceedings as necessary
- Utilise Proclaim (claims management software) effectively
- Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Perform additional duties to support the smooth operation of the business
Requirements
Ideal Candidate: We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience including those transitioning from fastpaced litigation backgrounds. The successful candidate will possess:
Experience:
- Essential experience in Housing Disrepair law; significant experience (10 years) in contentious civil litigation is also considered
- Ability to bill work at Grade B or above
- Familiarity with Case Management Systems (Proclaim preferred)
