Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 19.50 24.63 per hour
Responsibilities:
- To actively support the management of the service delivering a professional responsive and individualised service to Hillingdon residents requiring housing advice and to explore and signpost to housing options.
- To discharge the Councils statutory duty in investigating assessing and determining applications from homeless households within the terms of part VII of the Housing Act 1996
- Contribute to the annual Team Plan and delivery of team targets.
- Contribute to the development and review of procedure manuals providing guidance on the functions of the team.
- To identify and suggest any improvements to current ways of working in order to deliver a more efficient and effective service for residents.
- To carry out all duties with full regard to responsibilities under health and safety legislation and the Councils health and safety policies
Qualifications:
- Hold an appropriate qualification in a relevant field: NVQ Diploma relevant degree or relevant experience.
- A good standard of education with English & Maths GCSE grade AC or equivalent

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an enhanced DBS
