Job Description
AECOM is seeking an EntryLevel Civil Engineer to be based in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
The Civil Engineering Department of AECOMs Transportation Business Line is actively seeking Civil Engineers for immediate employment in our Philadelphia PA office. Under the supervision of a Project Engineer the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a Design Team responsible for the design of small to largescale Highway Improvement Projects such as roadway rehabilitation/safety improvement projects (3R) intersection improvements/optimizations interstate/limited access highway widening/reconstruction. Design responsibilities include horizontal/vertical geometry pavement design 3D modeling intersections/interchanges design traffic control/staging signing and pavement markings design ADA Pedestrian and Bicycle design etc.
This position is expected to begin in Spring 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining and reviewing existing information including some field work/site investigations.
- Originating technical calculations that advance the design of the project.
- Assisting in the development of roadway construction intersection grading traffic control and signing and pavement marking.
- Developing 3D models using civil engineering software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and project specifications
- Performs work in accordance with agreedupon budget and schedule under supervision.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or ability to take within 612 months of employment.
- Some experience with AutoCAD MicroStation and other civil engineeringrelated software (Civil 3D OpenRoads).
- Previous work experience or internship with engineering firms contractors or DOTs involved in the design construction or management of highway or other transportationrelated projects.

- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1B visa holders in the United States.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes inoffice work in Philadelphia PA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Philadelphia PA on a scheduled basis.
